Steps to Keep Flowers Fresh for a Week:
Prepare the Vase Water:Use lukewarm water as it helps flowers absorb water faster. Add one of the following to the water:
A pinch of sugar: Acts as food for the flowers.
A drop of bleach: Prevents bacterial growth.
A copper coin: Its antimicrobial properties help keep the water clean.
Trim the Stems:
Cut the stems at a 45-degree angle to increase the surface area for water absorption. Remove any leaves that will be submerged to prevent rotting.
Change the Water Daily:Refresh the water every day and clean the vase to avoid bacteria buildup. Reapply the additive (sugar, bleach, or coin) after changing the water.
Place in the Right Spot:
Keep the flowers in a cool location, away from direct sunlight, heat, and drafts.
Use Flower Food (Optional):
If you have flower preservative packets, add them to the water for prolonged freshness.
