How to preserve green onions for long-term use
How to preserve chopped green onions, cut into pieces
Wash the green onions and put them in a basket to drain, then cut the white part and the green part separately. Put them in a zip bag or a box with a tight lid. Store in the freezer.
With this method, the green onions will still be fresh after more than 1 month.
Store in a jar of water
Wash the onions down to the roots but do not cut off the roots, prepare a glass of clean water, choose a transparent glass for easy observation. Put the green onion branches in the glass, cover it with a thin layer of plastic wrap.
Then store in a cool place. With this method, the green onions will be preserved for 3 weeks.
