James Woods breaks down on live television after losing home to Los Angeles wildfires

Actor James Wood became emotional over the loss of his home in Los Angeles. Many celebrities and locals alike have found themselves in the path of devastation.

Amid the celebrity rush to vacate the Los Angeles area due to an ever-spreading wildfire, James Wood opened up about his loss from the tragedy.

The actor evacuated his home which was destroyed in the flames. In a sweet gesture, his wife’s eight-year-old niece even offered to pitch in to get the fixes done. James told CNN in an emotional interview that she “came out with her little piggy bank for us to rebuild our house.” He teared up on camera as he recalled the chaos. James said: “I’m sorry, it’s just one day you’re in the pool and the next its all gone … I’m sorry, I thought I was stronger than this.”

James has been open online about the devastation and the effects its had on his community. He has kept the world well-informed through posts made on X, formerly known as Twitter, including shocking images and videos of the scenes. Videos included graphic clips of smoke and rushing winds. Plus, homes were burnt into destruction with his James’ holding out to finally crumble well after his neighbors.

He explained that his family kept well-prepared for the circumstances, adhering to local officials’ guidance. James explained online: “We cleared and built pathways on our hillside with sprinkler systems that can be remotely managed. We also did brush clearance per local fire prevention mandates. I’m hoping it has done some good. It’s hard to beat the winds this time of year though, if someone is careless.”
